This Museum´s permanent exhibition, in Casa Lercaro, is a journey through the history of the island, with the emphasis placed on the main economic and social milestones of the last few centuries. Inconclusive and provisional, as any representation of history inevitably has to be, this exhibition is, however, a synthetic approach to the social and cultural dimensions of the island’s past and of how it fits into the dynamics of the history of European expansion.

We were interested in the history of tenerife and tought the museum would be a nice place to find out how it became what it now is. There are audioguides in several languages. (On your mobile with wifi) but the written information was only in spanish .... its not that they had no space for english or whatever they would... More

We enjoyed looking at the exhibits. The staff were very friendly & proudly showed off two restored carriages. However, this is not an interactive museum, so as long as you like reading about the exhibits, but not touching, you'll be fine. I did love being inside such an old building, with lovely courtyard.

A very interesting small museum. The iPhone commentary adds to this. The 2 young women in reception were exceptional in their help and information. Real ambassadors for the museum and for Tenerife.

Great place. Need to speak Spanish to fully appreciate it. If you use the audio guide on your iPhone then take care. The position in the museum on not accurate and if you accidentally touch the screen it means you have to start again. The only downside.

We were lucky as the entrance is free on Friday afternoons, but we were a bit disappointed as we would have expected to learn more about the history, economy about the islands. This is a small museum, in a charming house, with things on display and reading. But more content would have been better.

Small museum located in an old palace where you can find objects describing the conquest and the life in the island from the 15th century to nowadays. If you have only a morning or not to many time to visit the old town I don't recommend it but can be a good complement if you want to expend the whole... More

Coming to La Laguna and not see this museum is like going to New York and not coming to visit the Liberty Statue. The History Museum of La Laguna is a place to well know about our pass and to understand our way of living and much more. The building is an XXv century building immaculate and awesome itself.

this museum is a must in La Laguna, the building and gardens are enough reason to visit but the collections are super interesting and will show you a lot about the history of life and commerce here, they host temporary exhibitions regularly as well and the current one is intertwined with the permanent collection, wonderful place.

Enjoyable visit and a very atmospheric old building. We were given a translation guide book and had a nice tour around. The items on show are a little limited but I enjoyed it and the history of the place.
