Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We arrived at 9.45. car park already nearly full. You can park on the authorised spaces no problem. The centre opens at 10 presently. There is a queue with only one advisor. Airam was very friendly and full of good advice. He wasn't hurried despite the queue. V good English. There is an excellent cafe restaurant across the street with brisk cheerful staff.

Excellent information at centre and friendly cafe on site, neatly positioned under the car park.
We were provided with useful printed guides by the tourist centre staff.
Enjoyed a 2 hour walk in the forest (red route).
There are limited views on the trails.
For the best views of the surrounding countryside and El Teide go to Mirador Pico del Inglés.

We've traveled a lot in the world and in Tenerife got an impression and only a travel agent who gets commission from you cares about your vacation. Boy were we wrong until we visited this visitor center. It was Saturday and it was already closed but the staff was inside doing some administration work. The guy in yellow jacket (sorry for not asking his name) welcomed us in, gave a motivating presentation of the area, gave us a map of the hike we could do on a rainy day (it was almost pouring rain outside but we wanted to hike in the laurel forest). My child (12) loved the hike even more because the person in the visitor center spoke with such interest about it.
Thank you very much from our family of three and keep up the good work! You're the best on the island!

Beautiful drive up and beautiful walks available. Get there early because parking is limited, that being said, by midday everyone was parking everywhere..!
The staff were super helpful and you can get free maps with hiking trails.

Stopped off to get a map to aid our hiking trip. Looked around the small exhibition in Spanish. There are some English information leaflets. There is also a cafe, which we did not visit. Helpful staff.

I had a similar experience with useful and caring staff here. We also arrived when they were almost closed and a staff member took extra time to show us pictures and images on the web as well as sharing information about what to do and where to walk. We were impressed by this level of dedication. The visitor center has some nice exhibits as well and there are clean bathrooms, a restaurant, gift shop and bookshop. The restaurant/gift shop had some good food and some excellent books about the natural history of the area. Very small parking lot that fills up quickly with the early hikers so try to come early if you can. We had to circle around 1-15 minutes before a car vacated a spot for us to park. It is worth visiting but just check their hours.
