It's like being on a different planet - compare it to visiting the moon or mars;) we went via a tour operator but also easy to do by car. Combine it with a visit to Masca!

I went up this mountain whilst visiting Tenerife and it was amazing! The views are out of this world, almost quite literally because it looks like you can see the edge of the world (I'm not a flat earth believer either in case you're wondering)...More

The highlight fo my holiday to Tenerife... The 3rd highest island volcano in the world! Teide is located in the ancient "caldera" of a long gone volcano and stands tall above the volcanic ridges that hide it from view from the low lying costal resorts....More

Hello , honestly I do not know. We visited the island in July and the weather was perfect. Even in July it was cold on top of the volcano so I imagine in November it will be very chilly.

It depends on what you mean for bad knees. Anyway, is not a competition, after using the "telefirica" to get at the top of the Vulcano, you can easily walk your way (at your time) to the highest point. Enjoy :)
