Located 400 metres high, on the Risco de Famara, the Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique's most representative architectural creations as it shows a series of artistic and architectural details and his eagerness to combine art and nature. It is located near the remains of an ancient military base that dates back to the end of the 19th Century. It is camouflaged on the rock in a way in which only a genius of Manrique's magnitude could conceive.

Apart from hiccup of not realising road nearby temporarily closed and being told off by policeman well worth visit. Views over La Grocosia really good. Also worth dropping down to town below to view cliffs from different perspective.

Mirador del Rio provides the visitor with a stunning view from heights, 500 metres above the sea level. You can look at the views through a window or outside, from a balcony. During sunny days (which are typical to Lanzarote) the landscapes are truly impressive. We combined our visit to this attraction with a visit to the volcanic caves and... More

The view alone is worth the trip, but the Manrique designed (that main again) 'cave' building makes this truly special. There is a small entry price but it is so worth it. This is really up there with the greatest spectacular vista's in the world (though it does require some sunshine). When you're done, take the road through the mountains... More

After a drive up a long steep hill you can see the most amazing views. There are refreshments available here as well.

You can have a nice view on island La Graciosa from here, however it can become crowdy when busses starting to arrive, coming from the tourist resorts. I guess best time to visit is in the morning.

Visited as part of a tour and stopped for 20 minutes which was long enough to visit the 3 levels and take photographs from the terraces. Nice looking restaurant with great views. Worth stopping if in the area.

Visited this attraction with my children whom are in their twenties and a child age 9. As you enter the main hall/lobby it doubles as a cafe and they serve a brushetti/pizza on crusty bread which is quite tasty and only 4 euro. Also other dishes and coffee and wine /beer. And icecream and soft drinks. From the hall you... More

Had to travel the length the island to get there but had a good drive through the national park, amazing scenery and fantastic views from some of the roads on the way. When you arrive there are some coastal paths that I believe you can walk along to enjoy the views, however we paid approx €5 each to go into... More

The views from this place are amazing, especially towards La Graciosa and if I hadn't been heading for the airport I'd love to have visited the island.Looking over the edge makes you feel weird. Manrique's architecture is stunning.
