Located 400 metres high, on the Risco de Famara, the Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique's most representative architectural creations as it shows a series of artistic and architectural details and his eagerness to combine art and nature. It is located near the remains of an ancient military base that dates back to the end of the 19th Century. It is camouflaged on the rock in a way in which only a genius of Manrique's magnitude could conceive.

Don't get me wrong the view is amazing but you can walk to the side of the official viewpoint and see the same which a lot of people were doing. We opted to go inside, €4 each is a little steep for what's on offer and the café food was nothing to write home about but we had a lovely... More

Nice way to see the other island from a good viewpoint. The entrance closed at around 5pm or 6pm. But that's not a big problem. People simply ignore the forbidden sign and get to the main viewpoint. Also it's the only option possible if you want to take photos near sunrise or sunset which are expected to be the best... More

Good views and photos of La Graciosa but expensive is this because of the famous architect there is a cafe which was not appealing

The view from here of the coastline and nearby islands is outstanding. When viewing over the shear drop one can feel queasy! Well worth the drive to this remote part of the island.

Another site masterminded by Manrique - but if you already have a multi-site ticket its worth including a visit to the Mirador del Rio. Great view of La Graciosa and across the Island.

Designed by Cesar Manrique, the island famous architect and artist, this place is a great spot to admire La Graciosa island and the following inlets. Nested in the impressive cliffs at the northern tip of the island, it is a pleasure to relax there in the café, surrounded by the scupltures of the artist with 180 deg windows.

I am glad we took the effort to go here. The views are amazing. But to have to pay to stand on a cliff is a bit much.

This was a quick visit, and on another occasion would be nice to enjoy a beer or glass of wine there in peace. The cafe has an interesting set up and view is really remarkable.

Really nice view of cliff and La Graciosa island. Nice place to take a rest for about 30 minutes. For the way back I would definitely drive along the cliff. Awesome views!

The view is stunning, but otherwise not necessarily worth the cost of the ticket - it's another Manrique circular structure containing a not very inspiring restaurant. Just take a walk along the coast for the same view for free.
