The Alcaravaneras Beach is Las Palmas city's less attractive beach because it faces the industrial port where many great vessels are moored. Warnings about the water quality here often only reach the local community and sometimes foreign visitors do not realize that the water is...More

The beach is very close to the busy port, and you can see all the ships and yachts from it. It is good for sports, e.g. if you play volleyball, or just want to sit for an hour and sunbath, but the water did not...More

Playa de las Alcaravaneras is a beach located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands. It is a big beach, where you can sunbath, bath in the sea and, obviously, relax. It is more or less 500 m large, but pitifully when...More

A nice beach to spend a few hours... Great sand. But the view towards the industrial harbour is not so nice... Not tempting to swim...

Used for beach volleyball etc but at other times pretty deserted. Looks out over the port area so not as pretty as Las Canteras beach.

Quite a quiet beach but not really worth going out of your way to visit. There are no waves so it's unsuitable for surfing. The water also isn't very clean due to it being so close to the port. It would be better to walk...More

I don't like beaches and parks near the autostrade. However they are quite popular here in Las Palmas. Beach has some sand and playground for kids, but I prefer Las Canteras.

It is very well located in front of Alcanaveras barrio and Ciudad Jardin. Not the greatest views but the beach is clean and close to the by bike station.
