Taking its name from the lovely C16th cathedral of the same name, this tidy and sensitively renovated square has lots of charm, space, and some very interesting buildings. The stautes of the "Canarian Dogs" delight and are much admired, whilst the C18th building , mostly government offices are very pleasing. The few commercial premises, hotel and restaurant, just add to... More

A plaza is always a plaza. Not your best memory from many vacations (maybe Brussels). But we ted to visit them, and by that standard this is a nice plaza. The dog statues are very nice. Children love them. View is nice, and it's not remote so it's right there.

A large public square lined with attractive buildings, benches, palm trees and ornate street lamps. At one end is the cathedral and at the other the Town Hall. My favourite thing was the 8 statues of dogs by the cathedral, which have their own TA review listing. Visitors can go inside the cathedral and the café otherwise it's enjoying sitting... More

This is a picturesque plaza facing the Cathedral San ta Ana with gorgeous buldings and palm trees. However, by far the best feature for me was the group of eight dog statues facing the cathedral. Made of bronze and very lifelike they are most impressive. Apparently the island was once populated by large dogs from which it got its name.... More

This plaza is not, of itself, a dramatic destination, but it is a very fine place to pop out into as you explore Las Palmas' Old Town. It is a fine square; decent old buildings, a cafe, a marvelous church and lots of people to watch! Take a picnic, or buy the making s in the local market and enjoy... More

This is a gorgeous square, located opposite the cathedral, in the heart of the old town. The square is surrounded by beautiful buildings, and lovely trees. The iconic dog statues facing the cathedral are a fabulous photo opportunity. This is an atmospheric square & a great place to start a tour of the old town.

This is a must visit when in Las Palmas and you wish to see nice historical buildings and feel a nice authentic atmosphere. Beautiful architecture with the Chatedral Santa Ana in focus. Take a walk on the pebbled streets of Vegueta and soak in the late afternoon Sun, taking stunning photos whilst enjoying a drink or two in one of... More

What to say, it is a very nice plaza with focus on the cathedral Santa Ana. Sometimes there are festivals on the plaza. Around this Plaza you have nice streets as well with bars and restaurants etc. A must when you are in Las Palmas.

This is the iconic plaza for the old district of Vegueta in Las Palmas. It's a must see. The dog statues in front of the cathedral are favorites for photographers, and each one is unique. The plaza is perfect for photographers in any weather or time of day, but at night it's particularly pretty when the lights come on.
