Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Cloudy day in January, we spent an hour in a small wine yard called Los Lirios. Excellent introducing by Carina, member of family, local quality wine and delicious tapas. Highly recommended.

The trip out here was perfect, and I would come back, but without a car or tour bus, it might be tough to get to. I am not sure if you can take the bus up here as this vineyard, Bodega Los Lirios is located at the Bandama Volcano just south of Las Palmas and coming from Maspalomas it was a trip worth it.
This is a family-owned vineyard and it has been there for generations that does tapas and they produce white wine and red wine. Lucky us as on our tour we were told that the vineyard only produces 300 bottles of white wine a year. And we were lucky enough to have one. I did end up loving the variety of red wines they had for quite cheap too for a glass (worth the price for a bottle as well). We had probably every dish they offer there as it was part of a tour deal we had. A few of their dishes were tasty, the ones that I did not like was cold fish, wish in general I am not a fan of. I did try it, was worth the experience and am happy to try. But would probably stick to their stews, potatoes mojo sauce.
Not only lots of food and tasty local wine but also, we were so lucky to have these great artists playing which created a fantastic atmosphere. They made the afternoon great as they sang great, took a few song requests and just in general were so positive and fun. It did help that the lead singer was half Welsh, so she was able to sing in both Spanish and English which was nice. However, the vineyard venue has a different artist there each week, I think.
Moving on to the venue is an open space venue that serves great foods and lots of tasty red wines. If you drink the wine there you must have the “abecado” or Llantén Tinto Crianza 2018 and have to order a few of their delicious tapas. Most of their meals are meat-based so it might not be the best place to eat for vegans. Even without going on a tour, you can go and look at the vineyard but of course, don’t go picking up grapes if they are in season. The staff here were kind and friendly.
There is also a parking space there if you want to drive up. Also, other local businesses are outside so you can buy more than just wine there.
Check out their website for more things you can do at their venue such as a photoshoot, picnic, meal and wine dining experience

When you think you know so many things about wines, there comes another new and spectacular protagonist to the scenery. We were presented the "Listan Negro" as the characteristic red wine from Canary Islands. Carlotta was so enthusiastic when at presenting her family's farm where they keep their fabulous vineyard. She explained us the origins and all the hard work her family went through in order to consolidate a beautiful product. This dark skinned red grape's wine was gentle at the palate with some notes of cherry and spice also very well paired with some nibbles made locally. I decided to purchase one of this magnificent bottles of red to indulge myself and surprise some friends this next Christmas with an exotic wine. Thanks to Carlotta we had an interesting overview of the Canary Islands wines.

My husband and I visited Los Lirios in May and had a lovely tour of the property and the winemaking facility. We were also served a snack of mojo picon (made by the owners grandmother), almogrote, cheese and bread with some Los Lirios wine.

Me, wife, brother and parents arranged a visit at Los Lirios. Easy to book and get confirmation. Transport you arrange yourself. From Las Palmas to Los Lirios we shared a taxi minibus, 40 Euros each way and I would not pay moore since it is not dramatically far away. Still far enough to get some nice views of areas inland south of Las Palmas.
After a 30-min taxiride good greetings at Los Lirios and at our time it was very personal since there was only us. Personal great guiding around the winery in english and included after the tour was nice red wine from Los Lirios with different cheeses, bread and other stuff. We finished up in their shop and got some wine back home to lighten up the dark cold winter with nice memories. Overall including transport from Las Palmas 09:30-13:00. Well worth a visit!
