We have been in La Gomera several times and each time we have been impressed with the facilities and variety of the Garajonay National Park and in particular its Visitor Centres. On this visit we have been to both the Visitor Centre at Las Rosas which has beautiful gardens, a memory room and a splendid film auditorium showing an excellent... More

Went their for a day from Tenerife by Ferry. Excellent drive to the Garajonay National Park form the port. We had a very nice tour guide who has explained us in detail about La Gomera. Very beautiful drive up on the mountains to the National park. Must visit place if you have a time. We had very delicious lunch at... More

A definite 'must do' when visiting La Gomera for all who enjoy walking. Lots of shade as walking through the rainforest and stunningly beautiful in April with swathes of spring flowers. As you might expect you are rewarded with amazing views at the summit. Good facilities at the visitors' centre: car parking, toilets, refreshments.

We had a lovely walk through the national park seeing lots of interesting flora, and reaching view points with views of Gran Canaria, beyond Tenerife. Interesting to see the work and regrowth since the 2012 fires

We were staying on Tenerife and booked a full day tour to La Gomera. Our fist stop was at Garajonay National Park. The Park is located in the center and north of the island of La Gomera, It was declared a national park in 1981 and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. The park is named after the... More

We spent a lovely day on a guided walk through the Garajonay National Park with HF Holidays. We walked through cold swirling mists through deep green vegetation and mosses. If you set out in the morning wear warm clothes and take gloves and hats! Highly recommended.

So interesting....we have been on hot clear days and heavy cloud days.......heavy cloud days are interesting as one can see the moisure leaking from the clouds and saturating everything. You can eat there too.

We came here with an organized buss tour, so we only had aprox 30 min to look around. But I knew we have to go back, renting a car, so we can stay for longer.

If you like heavily shaded, well maintained trails in forests, then this may be "great, wonderful, etc", but if you like majestic views and variety, this is not the place to hike. As we are the latter, we were quite disappointed. To be fair, there were 2 places with good views: the summit area which includes a good look-out at... More

large national park with one major highlight. many of the flora and fauna have not changed in millions of years, and this makes it one of the few places in the world to see vegetation and animals in their original form. the lush greenery is a stark contrast to the drier areas outside the park. interpretation center is worth the...
