If you are visiting mahon, I would definitely recommend a visit to the port. Stunning waters and beautiful boats make this such an idilic place. And with some bars and restaurants near by, it's the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.

Beautiful port. We went on a glass bottom boat around the harbour and it was full of information about the port and its history. The gin distillery in the area is a must (if you like gin) where you can sample many different flavours of gin.

We went on an coach excursion which included a brief stop at Mahon, so we caught the local bus from Son Bou where we were staying and went back to Mahon for a days look around (cost was €2.55 each). Ths city is very nice with several churches all worth going into. If you are going to go to the... More

A great place to visit. Lots of hustle and bustle. Beautiful scenery. Loads to do. Really enjoyed the glass bottomed boat ride around the harbour.

I can't believe 10% of people rate this as average and 1% even rate it as poor. It's a magnificent natural harbour and so much more. Fantastic history and, if you take the opportunity to go one one of the two boat tours, you'll learn so much about this.

Mahon Harbour on a boat trip is a great way to learn about surrounding area. We took a trip on a glass bottom boat which was fun watching the fish half way through the trip. It took about an hour to go round the Harbour. The commentary let you know about the different parts of the Harbour and what the... More

Mahon Port was one of the highlights of my visit to Menorca. We went on a trip on a glass bottom boat (athough we just sat at the top) and truly enjoyed the history and sites of this port - there is still a big British Influence and it is seemingly the largest natural harbour in the world which is...
