We went on an excursion with our holiday reps and it was amazing! Lovely boat trip around the island with views of all the historic buildings. The boat was also glass bottomed and we had the chance to go downstairs and see the bottom of the sea, amazing! Once off the boat we visited the gin distillery, which was good... More

Mahon offers so much to first time visitors, Fine dining as well as cafes to die for. Very friendly and stylish. If you like leather sandals Mahon is the place to go. Every colour under the sun. Markets, steeped in history, you will want to return once you've been there. Custard tarts are what it's famous for.

I was staying just next to the port so it was the first thing I saw every morning! Beautiful and serene but that may have been because its December and there was literally NO tourists except me! Great Jazz bar and tapas places along side that the locals dine at.

The port is stunning, lots of big beautiful boats coming in and out of harbour, always something to watch and see. Was surprised by the amount of benches, dotted around, to sit on and take in the sites. Loads of restaurants and bars, selling different types of food, for all budgets. And a few shops, right down the far end... More

Spend an hour on the glass bottom boat trip, an absolute must to anyone visiting beautiful Mahon City. The tour of the harbour was full of interesting sights and full of knowledgeable commentary. Value for money. Take a walk around the port or better still take the little road train (an hour's tour) which takes you all around the city... More
