Beautiful church

Another beautiful san sebastian church. It's a must see for architecture lovers. Close to the beach in a friendly area of the city.

We prey at lots of churches and I have to say, this one was definitely above average, preying-wise. Lots of leg room and kneel room, and the vibe was very.. religious. Highly recommend for seasoned preyers and noobs alike.

While we were taking a walk through the old town of san sebastian, we wandered down the narrow cobbled lanes where you will find all the bars & tourist shops. We stopped to have pintxos in this area and after a brief walk we discovered this historic old church. Visually it is quite impressive, an old Catholic style church well... More

Inside there are 1918 mosaics by Maumejean featuring episodes from the life of Saint Ignatius Loyola, as well as numerous altars, including an Art Nouveau Sacred Heart of Jesus altar by Mariano Benlliure. Not just here but all the architecture in the old town is amazing. To spend time walking through the old city is wonderful.

Maybe not one of the most impressive churches you will see but it is well worth a visit if you are nearby.

The San Ignacio Church is worth seeing because it has a Neo-Gothic architecture that is quite interesting. Few tourists see it because it is in the Barrio Gros. However it is not far from the river or the beach, so it is easy to find.
