Inaugurated in 1912 the Victoria Eugenia Theatre displays neo-renaissance and neo-plateresque features. In 2001 the theatre underwent renovations for a whole six years period, during which time modern equipment and services were installed making it suitable for the hosting of the annual San Sebastián International Film Festival. Our apartment was located directly opposite the canal from the theater, so we... More

Lovely location for drinks or a bite to eat. The breakfast ham and eggs was luscious and hit the spot. Really friendly staff and great service. With the location expected it to be overpriced but was really reasonable at 7 euro for breakfast. Wine is about 2 euro for a glass. Greatbplace to chill

We had drinks on the terrace of this cafe and the situation is lovely, a great spot to sit. However, the drinks we ordered were just put on the table, not poured, and the bottled water was positively warm, not remotely chilled, and the service wasn't very friendly.

A very handsome building in beautiful surroundings. Very well located. Gorgeous inside with lovely seats, though a high railing obscures views from the upper floor a little and shows tend to be overpriced.

The theatre looks so splendid from outside but performances are rare. However I went on a walking tour from the Tourist Office called Romantic San Sebastian which took us inside the theatre. We saw just the main foyer, a dazzling white marble hall and staircase, and the auditorium. This is splendid and beautiful and, though it dates from the early... More

Try to see anything here just to see this beautiful and intimate theater. The ceiling is magnificent.

We wandered past this cafe and decide to eat here as it looked so popular! Well we ended up going back again for dinner the next night! The food was delicious- really relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating. Only criticism is that they don't seem to have enough wait staff meaning it can be a bit slow to be served... More

Our hotel was next door to this great hall. We were o lucky to find that there was a concert on the night we arrived. A great pianist, singer, sax player and dancers.
