Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Disappointing experience. I was really looking forward to seeing the Bilbao Symphonic Orchestra here but even the building is quite dull and the service i’d not a call a service at all. Hardly no staff anywhere (which makes it easy to change for better seats though), signs are not clear, hard to find your way around. No clear info on the break, when to return etc. the buffet is very unimaginative as well, basically only serves wine & beer (coffee machine is switched off for a reason) and tortilla and jam sandwitch. The concert was good, concert hall impressive, seats not too comfortable either

The space is extraordinary, with the best acoustics in Bilbao. I'm not a tourist, I'm from Bilbao. The programming is a 💩. Groups like Funambilista or Elefantes come and they have to go to spaces like Kafe Antxokia or BBK. How would they sound here!!!

Went there to a gala for Basque ballet students abroad . Theme was Basque legends scripted by the noted author Toti Martinez de Lezea . Modern and elegant theater with modern design and impressive acoustics.

First, i'd like to make it clear that i'm rating the Palacio Euskalduna and not it's excellent 'Terra Cotta Army' exhibition as that was outstanding for 10eur.
My low mark is for the difficulty my wife and i experienced ordering tickets for the exhibition.
We were only in Bilbao for one day and the only way to obtain tickets is through their website. We had to have help with the Basque/Spanish as the 'English translation' function didn't appear to work. Once tickets were purchased we had to print off confirmation which couldn't be done over the phone and again we required assistance from our Hotel's reception. Then we had to get tickets from a BKK machine using the card the tickets were booked on - which wasn't convenient - so we gave up and went to the Box Office for help.
Our booking was for 10am but their Box Office (in another seperate building) didn't open until 10am causing more stress. Call me old fashioned, but what's wrong with (booking and) paying at the Box Office when you intend to visit. How is the introduction of technology helped make this more efficient or convenient? I'd have not booked were i aware of how much hassle this was going to be and sadly we'd have missed a top exhibition. Grumble, grumble.

This is one of the most relevant buildings of what they call "The new Bilbao". It was built next to the river in the place where a well known naval factory stood and now thanks to its design has become a new icon in the city.

The Bilbao Symphony Orchestra (BOS) recently put on a varied program of Tchaikovsky, Adams and Stravinsky. Although only 4 minutes in duration, Adams' "Short Ride in a Fast Machine" was stunning. It's one of my favourite pieces and as I'd not heard it performed live, I was very much looking forward to the BOS interpretation. Amazingly, the ticket prices were so inexpensive. The venue itself is visually stunning - inside and out. Check out the ceiling in the main Auditorium! The box office staff are multi-lingual and very helpful. Note that it doesn't take AMEX cards. Drinks and nibbles at interval were also very well priced (heaps less expensive that the Met in NYC!). If I lived in Bilbao, I'd be a regular!

Everything in Bilbao is quite modern so, this center is also quite interesting to visit ;) attended La Traviata there and despite being at the end I could see and hear perfectly.

Because this building is called Palacio Euskaduna, I was expecting an ornate building in regal fashion. Nothing is further from the truth. I approached the building from the Puente Euskaduna along the waterfront. I thought I had the wrong building. There was this hunk of rust coloured metal. As I walked around the building towards the front, it was slowly transformed into something magical. Hundreds of panes of glass arranged in various angles at the front made for an interesting mosaic of buildings and skyline. It was difficult to see what was being reflected as the front of the building was facing a high hedge! Fascinating! Unfortunately I did not get a chance to go inside.

Participated in a conference. Excellent infrastructure and very well located in the city centre. Cheap and fast bus connection with Bizkaibus to the airprot (max 15 min for 2 euro). Departure is from gran Via 79, just one block away from the centre. Park in front, so easy to go out and relax. Les positive was that workshop rooms were in a different building as the exhibition space. Workshop room indication was also far from clear.

We happened to see advertising and decided to buy the ticket to the Musica - Musica classical music festival. Process was not the easiest - long lines and just couple of cashiers (app did not work properly). Venue was spacial and acoustic, i have never seen so much copper inside the concert hall!
We chose Salzburg C.Soloists/Kaganovky concert, it was really great concert!
On the venue side there was a little problem, wardrobes were not open, so everybody had to sit with their coats and winter jackets in the concert room - this was kind of a new experience.

Gracias!!

saludos
