From El Greco to modern art this free museum built into some interesting architecture covered a variety of art styles from an asturias perspective. Given its free it's worth going and spend as much or as little time as you like in ovieto.

What to do on a rainy day in Oviedo? Go to the Museo de Bellas artes. It has just been renovated and it is really worth a visit. In the heart of the city and at walking distance of really good places to eat.

My wife and I visited this museum and enjoyed it very much. The museum is now housed in 3 separate buildings. There were many great works of art and I took photos of all of the artwork that I found beautiful.

This is a superb museum in the old part of Oviedo. It was so much more extensive than I had expected, with a wonderful range of paintings across two adjoining buildings. There are some 'big name' artists represented but the lesser known and regional artists...More

The main part of the museum is reasonably easy to find and has some wonderful pieces...and it is free, amazingly. The building is also very well converted. The second part is truly hard to find, the maps are useless and there is no signage. Inside...More

Some nice pieces in both museums (there are two different sites a short walk apart). It's free to visit and they have some good pieces. Goya, Picasso, Miro, El Greco are amongst the collection, as well as local artists from the area.
