Still a very sleepy town, light years away from modern developments. Wonder if they will ever catch up with progress. Most people will find it charming as long as they don't have to live over there.

Oviedo is one of the most elegant and beautiful cities in Europe. Oviedo is the cleanest city in Europe. The old Town or Casco Antiguo is really beautiful and full of historical buildings the reflect the rich history of this corner of Northern Spain.

The old part contains some fine buildings, like the administrative offices houses in beaautiful ancient buildings around the Plaza Porlier, in front of teh Cathedral, and the Ayuntamiento. Most of tehse are religious in nature, but not all are.

Right in the center of the city you will find this area with a lot of old buildings to visit. It is a comfortable walk around, it is not to big.
