Beautiful little traditional food market. Worth popping in.
Nice little find. Traditional little market with some great food stalls. Obviously, a favourite with locals who are sitting eating tapas and drinking. For us, it was interesting to see the old spanish ceramic stall signs, the meats hanging, the fresh fish and fruit stalls. It's just lovely to have a quick walk around. There is a little restaurant at the end which is interesting with the bulls heads on display. We loved it.

    Lovely Mercado
Interesting and wonderful Mercado to wander through when we were in the Triana area. Unlike the ones that we visited in Madrid, it was filled with more local people than tourists. Food options are numerous. Fresh fruit easily available as well. Would recommend visiting especially if you are looking for a quick bite to eat. Enjoy.

Visit if you're a foodie and enjoy!
This is the kind of place to eat a bit of everything. I had a fresh seville orange, which is one of the best oranges I have ever had. Got some pieces of cheese to nibble on whilst we walked around, then ate at a couple of different places, La Muralla, which is great for fresh fish & cervezeria Loli, where the chickpeas and garlic prawns were to die for and the paella was traditionally made. The wine was also great. Tip - let the waiters recommend dishes, they know best!

    Wonderful
Probobly our second favourite Mercado we visited in spain (#1 being Victoria in Cordoba). Lots to see and many many options. Friendly people and had a good time checking the stalls. We settled on a meat place (Altobrasa Restaurante Asador) and had the 2 types of burgers and they were both delicious. Had my first Vermouth here and it was wonderful.

    Freshness at its best
The current market opened in 2001 but replaced one from 1823, so a lengthy history of providing the best of food for the locals. A wide variety is on offer from 8am onwards. Including very importantly flavoursome fruit and vegetables, local tasty goods plus a fine range of fish.

Good for a stroll and some tasty sampling
For 45-60 mins, this is a pleasant visit. It is ideally situated by the bridge with a nice selection of food and drink. Go for a few samples washed down with a red wine - you can’t go far wrong!!

    Seville's picturesque market
Well, every Spanish city has such market, where apart buying groceries you can have a good snack or even lunch. This one in Sevilla, in Triana part of town just to the right after the same name bridge. Worth walking through and having a quick bite.

So you might enjoy this. But you might think it’s nothing special. This is more a local market than Spanish food hall. Lots of places selling raw meat and fish to the locals to cook at home. Also a few tapas places, some bric-a-brac and flower stalls. It’s not like the bustling tapas laden food markets of Madrid (e.g. San Miguel) or Barcelona

I love a farmer’s market, and frequented several in Valencia and in Lisbon, but this was a terrible experience for me. First, it’s quite small, but that wasn’t really a problem for me. But what we bought from 2 vendors - strawberries, bananas, blueberries, and eggs - all went bad very quickly or were entirely inedible. The strawberries looked freshed, but when I opened them at home I discovered the bottoms were completely mushy. The eggs were the worst offender. I cooked them the next morning and to my surprise they cooked up to be a grey color. I tasted them before throwing them in the trash and they had a weird texture and very little taste. Not sure how that’s possible, but I won’t return. :/

Loved visiting this neighborhood market. Colorful fresh vegetables, expert presentations of fresh fish and meats and cheeses. If you happen to have one of those cool or rainy days in Sevilla, this is a wonderful place to hang out and meet some locals. Any day is good, really.

By chance! Was looking for the castle that houses the Inquisition museum and saw the market. Follow your nose…
Filled with a myriad of food stalls, for locals not the tourist trade. We bought jamon following a discussion regarding differences in pricing and what and why. Like my mother taught me, shoulder of anything is considered a superior taste to leg of anything. It’s all in the composition and fat. We bought the shoulder…
The biscuits my sister in law requested was shown me by another stall holder who left his stall to show me. We had a snack (tasty) then olive /anchovy tapas with a cerveza. The castle foundations can be seen at one end of the market. Excellent unexpected find, great fun and locals all happy to help tourists. Thank you.

The museum however turned out to be closed for renovation.

As others have said, this is a SMALL indoor market. A few elderly locals were patronizing the place. The produce looked pretty but we didn’t buy any. The vendors were borderline rude. Frankly, unless you are staying in the area, I don’t think it is worth a visit. Others have mentioned the “do not touch” signs. There were a few.

Mercado de Triana is a great local Market with just about everything you would wish to eat and also take home, if you could. It is certainly for locals but anyone can enjoy the goodies, as we did. They have tasty tapas. You can buy something on the run and feel the taste, it's all so fresh. The Market, in fact has its origins a long way back to the early 19th century, but its history goes a lot further back in time! It's a lesser known fact that the Castillo de San Jorge, used to be in this area. This was where the court of the dreaded Inquisition used to sit, back in the Middle Ages! Today there are only a few traces that remain of that building. It's certainly worth visiting!

Touching the canal , very nice Indoor Point of Sale where you will find many shops ( food , fish , bakery / pastry , butcher , fruit and vegetables , charcuterie , coffee , etc ...) , and especially many bodegas , tapas where you can have lunch in a festive atmosphere . We were lucky to see a preparation of paella and taste it 🥘, as well as a tortilla , delicious Serrano ham and a very good sangria ( well) . To do without moderation 😂🍷

Very dry and unpleasant waitress.
Server helpful, attentive and efficient.
Very average meal, not very filling, I had octopus and its cooking was unusual because it was sticky so not at all pleasant to eat. Invoice on a small piece of paper, impossible to reread... €79 for 3 dishes, 2 glasses of wine, 2 beers and 1 ice tea, 3 coffees. Little advice: Move on because they see the tourists arriving...
