Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It speaks to the wealth of the city in the 1500s and the powerful individuals and institutions resident there.
Impressively, it served in the caring role till 1972 and after a period of neglect and then renovation it opened as the Parliament 20 years later.
It is a tremendous construction, truly inspiring in the extent and expanse of the façade. Lovely formal gardens surround it.

Interesting visit with an extraordinary guide who made the time it lasted, almost an hour and a half, very enjoyable and interesting. It's a shame that they left us out in the cold for almost 20 minutes from when we passed the checkpoint until they let us enter the building. The enormous building that makes up the Parliament has been very well recovered (with a total of 69,000 m2) and has a wonderful history since its beginning in 1546 and its different uses, especially as a hospital with the name of the Five Wounds, which operated until February 1972. The Parliament of Andalucia, after several locations, ends in this wonderful complex full of Andalusian touches and with extensive works to recover this abandoned and happily recovered jewel. If you can visit it, you will not be impressed by anything but it will not leave you indifferent at all.

Most Europeans know about Catalan and Basque nationalist movements. The fact there are similar sentiments in Andalucia is less well-known. After the end of the Franco period in 1975 efforts to secure at least some degree of autonomy resulted in the establishment of a regional parliament. Since 1992 it is housed in the former hospital of the five wounds of the redeemer.
I especially liked the gardens in front of the parliament. The premises are fenced off. The building does not look very inviting. Like what some people would say about a hospital: if you get in, you never get out unless dead in a coffin. Refering to politicians not easily giving up their plush seats.

I would have to admit that the most impressive part of the Parliament, and the building itself, has to be the extensive façade and the details that seem to go on forever into the distance.
A few, slow photographic moments, will capture the structure of this semi Renaissance, Baroque style architecture, which is similar to the Plaza de España.

My twin brother and I were exploring around the wonderful Barrio De Macarena and chanced upon Parlamento De Andalucia, one of the most impressive buildings in this amazing neighbourhood.
This building dates from the 1600's and was constructed from designs from architects Martin Gainza ,Hernan Ruiz II and Zumarraga ,it served as a hospital ( Antiguo Hospital De Las Cinco Llagas ) until the early 1970's and after much renovation was designated Parlamento De Andalucia in the 1980's and is now the seat of the Andalusian parliament, its such a grandiose structure, so beautiful, very imposing, very photogenic, its just a great building that's most definitely well worth a few minutes of your time if you're in the area and easy to locate along Calle San Juan De Ribera .

Government building that used to be a hospital. You can’t go in as far as I’m aware but you do notice as you pass in your taxi. So admire the building where the decisions are often made.

As you go from north Europe to South, you notice the distance between government and people. In most countries the parliament is a building you can visit. This is not the case of the Andalucian Parliament. Nice building, but difficult to see.

This was some large and grand building fit for only politicians and they have done it well. The building was not open to the public but impressive from outside.

We wandered here from our hotel near city center to see the old Macarena wall. We did not see any big deal made by locals of this ancient wall and it looks abandoned.unlike the one in Xi’an. This long trek did yield two pleasant findings in the vicinity. The majestic Basilica de Macarena and parliament building of Andalucía. At first we thought it was s hospital because of the signs in Spanish (there’s a more modern hospital close by). Many streets are named after doctors. We later learned that this architecturally impressive building is the seat of regional government.
