Well worth a visit. I would advise buying tickets online as queues on the day can be very long, even when we visited at the beginning of October and there is no protection from the sun. Impressive architecture. But I think the gardens stole the...More

We visited Alcazar this afternoon. We hadn’t pre-booked tickets but joined the queue just after 10am and waited about an hour. It was worth the wait! This place is so beautiful, really serene, calm and relaxing. It wasn’t too busy at all, despite a few...More

Amazing architecture and decor left to posterity. Very disappointed by the staff running the place. As senior citizens and European Union members my wife and myself expected to be charged the prominently shown price of €3 each. The girl at the till was just cold...More

It's a lovely place ..... or maybe we're just partial to moorish castles and places :-) Do beware that Sevilla is normally really hot during the summer, and so is the Alcazar.

Buy your tickets online! We did not. After waiting in the hot sun for over a half an hour with the line not moving, we looked to see it wound its way around the building! So, we quit this and moved on to helado, Barrio...More

Most people who visit the Real Alcazar are mesmerised by the Islamic culture and compare it’s beauty to the Alhambra Palace. Alas! This magnificent palace was built 100 years after the Christian reconquest of Seville. What you’ll see is the best example of Mudejar architecture,...More

We bought tickets on the internet and thus avoided the queue. An amazing place, but unfortunately there are too many visitors inside at the same time. It is difficult to study the beautiful architecture in peace. The beautiful gardens and pools outside are also quite...More

This is well worth a visit. Strongly recommend buying tickets online in advance so you skip the long queues. Make sure to see the gorgeous illuminated bath house - so beautiful. An hour to an hour and a half will allow a good wander round...More

The Real Alcazar is not quite as ornate as the Alhambra in Granada and not as extensive, but is still quite beautiful. There are beautiful photo opportunities, especially by the pools that reflect the palaces. On display is a mixture of European and Islamic art...More

Not to worry - the shorter line is the one for ticket-holders so just follow the queue; there are staff members at the entry and exit points to guide you. Enjoy - it's awesome!
