Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Do skip the line: if online go to the Cathedral site unless you want to have a guided tour. There are lots of 'shops' all over Seville that sell tickets to various attractions. I didn't want a guide as I just wanted the experience and it is a WOW! experience. From the outside, if you walk right round you will know that it a very big site but I think nothing prepares you for the inside: look up and you will see arches disappearing into a vast distance. The interior floor space is enormous and you feel it as you walk around. There are lots of side chapels with not very interesting paintings (my view) but the gilding and the wood and plasterwork is. The highlight of the interior is the vast silver madonna, I first went on a dark day and the light shining from the silver was breathtaking. For me the personal highlight of the visit is the number of galss cabinets containg church vestments. Goldwork embroidery is my hobby so I love to see such wonderful work close up BUT even if its not your thing do take some time to look carefully: it is all stitched by hand. The Giralda is worth climbing to see the view from the top and the ramps make it easier than stairs (there are 34!) But if you are waiting while the agile members of your party climb then just find somewhere to sit and watch the people: all ages can be seen enjoying their visit.

It is a beautiful building in the old part of Seville. You can still see many oriental influences in the building. It's not necessary for me myself.

The price is a bit more expensive, but it's definitely worth it! I also recommend the tower, it's a bit high but the view is amazing. The cathedral is really impressive.

Horrific experience! We went in flia on 8/14/24, I bought the tickets on a page that is not official but authorized, in fact I entered without problems x it. It was 37° at 4 pm. They made you buy a piece of cloth if your shoulders were bare. 2 euritos each person, some JETS and HYPOCRITES. If you go to Mass you are not required to have a dress code, but to collect you are treated as if we were in the time of the INQUISITION. The church should know by now that respect does not have to do with how you dress, in fact you could enter with a short or sweatshirt with your ass in the air but your shoulders covered. More empathy and charity running out of firm to squeeze!
Above all the cathedral is pure opulence and ostentation, as an apostolic and Roman Catholic, with all the sacraments you are most outraged by this situation!
