Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Rather modern part of Sevilla with some nice recreation areas, green parks and shopping complexes. Worth visiting if you want to break from main tourist trail, otherwise give it a miss.

We took a spin around Isla de la Cartuja on our Sevici city bikes, there are a couple of interesting things (giant concrete rocket / Epcot type ball) but on the whole this place is unloved and primarily a bit of a run down business park.
And take care if you are cycling around here, we saw some quite unpleasant things on some of the cycle routes, such as someone breaking open a motorbike top box, and a man having a poo in a bush.
Perhaps avoid it.

I DID NOT GO IN 2023 AS INDICATED, I WENT IN 2016 (the website does not give me the option to indicate when I really went, which is in December 2016, I hope that in these few years it has improved somewhat).
I was lucky enough to visit Expo 92, I was 18 years old at the time; That was a real wonder...I returned to Seville in 2016 and I took a tour of the Carthusian Island and seeing it makes you want to cry at how neglected and abandoned it is: currently it looks like an industrial estate more than one for recreation and leisure. , with loose tiles, where there were fountains with their jets are pits where only bottle remains accumulate..., the opposite of what I remember in 1992 when I visited the Expo...total neglect and decay... It's a real shame that something that could have been used later has been wasted.
