Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful bespoke hotel in a perfect location in Grenada.
The room was incredible and just being there we felt we were part of history. The view from our rooms bathroom overlooking the Alhambra was amazing .
Our ceiling was like an artwork in timber from hundreds of years back (I can only speak for our room).
Just stunning .

A well preserved house. That’s it. There is no golden oven. There used to be an oven. It is now an ex-oven. It has ceased to be. It was not golden. It was not even in the house. In Roman times (they think) there was an oven in the street that was used to melt the gold found in the stream. Or that might not even be true either. The street is named after that oven. The house is named after the street. On top of that, there is an officious and patronising woman collecting tickets at the door. Ugh.

A nice 15th century residence, but so heavily restored that it looks a false. Not much to see, apart from the patio...
You can buy a single ticket and visit Horno De Oro, Dar al Horra and Bañuelo. Free entrance on Sundays (as of May 2019)

Very disappointing as there was nothing to give you the context of the building as a home. Simply a shell used to show unrelated photography.

Small hotel in a central, convenient location in Granada. Despite the overall hotel size, our room did not feel cramped. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

Yes, the house is old (end of 15th century), but there is nothing to see, basically it is just the patio with some empty rooms. The ticket costs 5 EUR and it allows you to visit 3 other places (again not that interesting and not located closely to each other) - Dar al-Horra Palace, El Banuelo and Corral del Carbon. So, if you are in Granada for a longer period and happen to be around on Sunday (when the entrance is free), perhaps you could pay a visit.

We stayed for 3 nights in September and found the Casa Horno del Oro to be delightful. It is very convenient for nearby restaurants and the Alhambra and is in the very pretty old town of Granada. The hotel itself is stunning and has magnificent views of Alhambra. We had the ground floor room which is small but beautiful and fine for a few nights. We felt very comfortable there and had a chilled and enjoyable long weekend. The owners were welcoming, especially Victor and if we are ever in the area again we would not hesitate to stay there.

It is worth seeking out this house, just a few yards up a side street near the River Darro. No 14 is another of the 4 "Andalusian monuments" covered by a 5 Euros ticket. Yes, it's fairly small so doesn't take too long to visit, but it gives a good idea of a Mudejar townhouse from the Nasrid era. It was built at the end of the 15th century and extended after the Reconquista. There are fine Mudejar ceilings and arches, and while we were there, a photography exhibition showing buildings of the Albaycin. But no information as to how the building functioned as a living household.

Empty rooms. No power in the restrooms,no exposition. Not worth your time, the arches can be seen pretty much anywhere else!
