Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Maybe we just visited on the wrong day-mid week, early morning but the market was rather disappointing. Many stalls were closed and the variety of what was there skewed towards fish with just a couple of produce vendors. Much nicer and bigger markets in other towns.

An excellent view of the raw materials sold in the restaurants around the city center, seafood has most stands followed by meat and then vegetables. Worth a visit, fresh, clean and nice.
Take the chance when you visit the old city as it’s just 2 minutes walk away.
Possible to get something to
Eat and drink.

I am admirer of markets, but this one is the worst one. I've been at Mallorca market, it was really amazing. Fresh food, fresh fish, oysters, champaign, small bars which served cooked food. At this marker , everything was much more expensive than in the supermarkets, few variety. No atmosphere.

This market is just beautiful from the Moorish inspired entrance to the huge stained glass window the place oozes history and the life of the people of Malaga.
The range of fresh food and vegetables is just amazing to see, how they present simple things like strawberries is worth seeing, all stacked into pyramid like displays every one perfect. The Spanish are just very good at any kind of display no matter what it is.

We had fresh fish cooked for us in the food bars at the corners of the market and this was like it had just come off the fishing boats, very reasonably priced and you can have a drink or a coffee while you eat.

If you are into food this place is a must and so easy to get to, even if you happen to be at the airport with time to spare hop on the shuttle train and walk the 6 minutes to the market it's worth it.

Go to this fantastic market with an expert! Rashida who runs a cooking class near Marbella was just the person to give us a fantastic education about fish and how to buy.

Found this wonderful market hidden away in Marbella. My husband and I were detemined not to restrict our food shopping to Aldi and went out looking for local Spanish fare. We found it here! Wonderful.

If you are looking for the freshener of the freshest of daily caught fish, great meat and locally grown fruits and vegetables the indoor Marbella market is your place where to shop.
The market is opened every day excluding Sunday from early morning to 3pm or till the supply are all sold.
There isn't a particularly good stall, they all are. All selling great variety of fish, mostly wild and caught daily. Spices, lovely veg and fruits are also available together with a few butchers that sell meat from all over Spain. Great aged beef, lovely organic lamb and chicken.
It is not a cheap place where to shop but the experience and quality are superior.
We used to shop here every Saturday when we lived in the area a few years ago and believe me there is nothing like it!

Do not forget to do trekking in Marbella!! Nature-lovers have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Sierra Blanca mountain range, refuge and reserve of the agile “Spanish Ibex” and plant paradise, where amongst its forestation one may admire magnificent specimens of archaic Spanish fir. This mountain range, as well as favouring the climactic conditions of the town, is undoubtedly the most outstanding element of the Marbella landscape, with the towering peaks of La Concha (1.215 m.) and Juanar (1.160 m.), the latter in the land of the neighbouring town of Ojén. The routes from Marbella to Juanar, or from Marbella to La Concha (for the more expert hikers), passing through Puerto Rico, or simply an excursion to the area known as Los Monjes, are an inviting suggestion.

The dominant north-easterly winds and the coastal currents incessantly brought sandy materials until they formed a line of dunes which in its day occupied some twenty kilometres in length. Currently, the Natural Monument of the Artola Dunes is testament to what this area of the Malaga coast used to be like.

Running at the Promenade or the Sea Front with 7 kms. (4mi) per way .

This super market was just a short walk from the hotel, good for the basic and a news paper. There are lager super markets but this one was easy to walk to and didn't need your car.
