After a horse and cart ride which showed us in and around the town...including the bull ring we opted for a walk around the center which was for me not one of the better centres we have looked around.Cadiz, which we visited only a year before was simply stunning, and although we found some lovely little back alleys with a few shops,out... On a stroll for sure you will pass by the constitution square. It's hard to miss when you are exploring Malaga city centre. It's the croaking of the Main Street with the small alleys in Malaga centre. Lots of nice shops and little restaurants good for lunch or a coffee. The buildings and architecture are well preserved.

No matter where we set off from or what direction we head towards, we always end up here, even when sober. Joking apart though it is a nice little open area with new and old buildings, shops and restaurants.

An important and principal place of the old district of Malaga, with restaurants, shops and a place for many fiestas in summertime, and in winter, nice decorations for Christmas; it's the old center of the city.

We were here for the week of "Carnival" where acts appear on stage from comedy, singers, dancers etc, which goes down well with tourist and locals. Otherwise it is a big square at the top of the main shopping street.

We passed through this area quite a few times on the walk from our hotel to the city. Very clean with a few places to eat and drink. Feels very much like the centre of the city.

Plaza de la Constitución is centrally located, at least from a tourists point of view. From here you can reach all noteworthy sights, shopping, restaurants and so on in a reasonable short distance. The Square itself is not the most stunning, but got a nice fountain, a 16th century marble fountain in the Renaissance style. The sculptor is unknown, but... More

We went for a day trip from benalmadena to see the Christmas market and lights. Malaga is a stunning place and the plaza a great focal point. Lots of lovely restaurants around, shops and beautifully lit up with the Christmas decorations. Very nice indeed.

We went on a very interesting and entertaining walking tour from this square in the morning. It lasted over 2 hours including a free tasting stop at El Pimp. Well worth going on this tour for a local insight into the history of Malaga. Obviously it isn't free as the guide would not make any money but she was well... More
