This is a partial ruin of a castle. This would be interesting if you had never seen anything like it before but the Spanish coast is loaded with castles and towers in much better condition. We see a castle every time we look out the...More

Another pleasant and interesting sight to see while wandering around the old town. Nicely presented.

This is just a small ruin, but they have taken care to present it nicely by scraping away buildings from all around it. On one side there is a small garden. I was there a couple of times but just for a few minutes each....More

Although relatively small in comparison with other castles, this is very quaint and an interesting place to visit located in the village of Castillo to the west of the Port of Duquesa.

The whole area around the old town hall, indoor market and museum is charming. The old town is wonderful and the castle is a timely reminder of bygone days when protection was essential from coastal raids by Barbary slavers. Charming.

We enjoyed going from the Museo Arqeoilogico after looking at the history of the city and then walking around the corner and there was part of the old city. It is always to imagine how it would have looked in the fifteen century. Very nice.

The castle was built in the 16th century. The castle replaced the previous fortification which was of Arabic origin. When you explore the "old town" it is likely that you will come across the castle. Really not that much to see if you compare with...More

. As part of the general beautification of the Historic Centre of Estepona - check out the reviews! - they have been working to improve the castle. First they cleaned the stonework and re-did the pointing. I suppose they were worried a chunk might fall...More

. I don't think that you would go out of your way to see this. It's quite near other historical and tourist sites (the Mercado de Abastos, the Plaza del Reloj, the Museo Arqueológico), so you may as well go and look at it. But...More
