The cathedrals of The Vatican, London, Sevilla, and Toledo are immense. The cathedral of Cadiz is both younger and smaller, but it conveys a sense of solidity and firmness of form and design which is quite impressive. We toured the cathedral, its crypt, and the tower and were left with an impression of strength and gravitas. Well worth a visit,... More

As you approach this Cathedral you are immediately struck by the sheer size of it . For 10 euros you can visit the crypt and go up the bell tower. The views from the bell tower are fantastic all over the city . Well worth the visit .

Impressive in it's size and architecture but not full of ornate and gaudy religious decoration. I liked the simplicity as I am not a fan of the Baroque style which to me is about money more than faith. We were staying just opposite the Cathedral and we also liked that it could guide us back to our hotel! The dome... More

An extraordinary building with excellent audio guide and lots to look at. The crypt is eerily beautiful, the central choir remarkable and you will be very glad if you make the effort to climb the tower for a wonderful view of the city, the port and the bay.Well worth the modest entrance fee

Breathtaking view inside the cathedral, useful audio guide, unmissable really if you are around the area. Tickets for 5 EUR include also a view from tower and cathedral museum, which are accessible from outside. Difficult to express in words how Beate is the view from the tower - on both, cathedral itself and the city

Very impressive cathedral, absolutely stunning. You get an audio guide telling you about each chapel, the crypt is a bit spooky, well I thought it was, but worth seeing. A must is climbing the bell tower which is included in the entrance price, thankfully no steps but no need to got to the gym after this. The views from the... More

For €5 you get to see the Cathedral including its crypt, bell tower and audio guide. The views from the top if the tower are worth the climb, even on a windy day! Also included in the price is the Cathedral Museum which we didn't have time to see. Don't forget the obligatory selfie from the seafront with the Cathedral... More

You have to go into this baroque cathedral because its circular crypt has an extraordinary echo. Stand about 6 foot from the wall, face someone else and then talk. The sound ripples around the ceiling. Manual de Falla, a son of Cadiz, is buried there. And look at the Roman? marble statue in a side chapel - the head has... More

Very impressive cathedral, steeped in history. Audio guides are available and well worth taking, as there's much to listen to! The underground crypt is quite interesting with some impressive sound effects! If you don't mind a bit of a climb do visit the adjoining bell tower. Be aware! This is a working bell tower, so the bells do ring every... More
