Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful courtyard surrounding the famous Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba (Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba). Fabulous views and photos of the belltower from the gardens and courtyard!

An orchard of trees in the courtyard next to the one of the greatest attractions in Spain, the Mezquita-Catedral. You can also go inside the bell tower, although I didn’t do this, but did make two visits to this area during my stay in Cordoba.

Built at the end of the 16th century, the courtyard is filled with orange and cypress trees. It is free to enter but it is the starting point for tours of the Mezquita so it is very busy with tourists. It must smell beautiful when the trees are in flower. There is a lovely fountain at the centre. We were also lucky enough to see it illuminated at night as we went on and evening tour. A must see.

Landmark mosque/cathedral courtyard with a striking fountain and planted with cypresses and orange trees. Bit of a stop off point for people waiting to get into the Cathedral. Very relaxing and a great chance to relax and just chill.

This lovely square is free to enter and is definitely worth a stop. The orange trees were incredibly fragrant while we were there and it's just a pleasant peaceful place to linger a few minutes - especially in the evening or early morning. It's a great break from the touristy chaos just outside the walls to enjoy the atmosphere.

You visit this as part of your trip to the cathedral in Cordoba. It acts as a staging ground for those waiting for their timed entry. It's quite beautiful to walk around and lay underneath the orange trees. It's free to come into the space but is generally busy and crowded with tourists waiting for their timed ticket into the Mesquita.

We met the tour guide for our scheduled tour early at he entrance to the Mezquita. She told us to wait inside at the Patio de los Naranjos for about 10 minutes. In that time we were able to walk around and view the orange trees. It was a beautiful and amazing experience!

This courtyard houses the entrance to the Mezquita and the bell tower. It’s peaceful with the orange trees and running water and is pleasant to walk around before visiting inside. It is closed when the cathedral shuts.

the Patio de los Naranjos located at the Historic Center of Córdoba
The place is open from the opening time of the visit to the cathedral until the end.
There are gates that close in the evening that include the entire complex.
The entrance here is free and the place is not big but very peaceful and pleasant.
