This is both a Muslim mosque and a Christian cathedral. It is beautifully decorated, carved and built and we had a great guide who really brought the whole thing to life; he was passionate about the place. The final section was more church-like with huge...More

We went on a Saturday morning around 11; it was crowded but not uncomfortable. A very impressive mosque and cathedral combined and odd to see the styles being mixed in this matter. Definitely recommend everyone to visit as it is something to remember. Impressive in...More

The place to see when visiting Cordoba. Architecture, History, and Art. The rows of columns are a miracle to behold. From the Mezquita you can reach most of the tourist sites in Cordoba on foot.

If you are visiting Córdoba and don’t generally like to go to cathedrals and churches, go to this. It is amazing.

I've seen so many photos of the Mezquita but there's nothing like standing in that space under the red & white arches and taking in the sheer scale of this enormous mosque. Despite a few tourist groups who were there at the same time as...More

Incredible what a thousand years of raping pillaging and plundering can buy! I thought the Moorish elements were understated and wonderful.

There is simply nowhere like this - a weird combination of the Christian and Muslim faiths in one vast edifice. It is impossible to describe, with its many beautiful arches, architecture and holy places. Wherever you go in southern Spain, make time to come here...More

Hi I'm not sure either. It would be possible if a ship berthed in Malaga but probably only as an excursion organized by the cruise company. A bit far/ complicated for an independent trip

I don't think so. This is a huge mosque/church, UNESCO world site.
