We heard that at night they had water displays and went to look out the location. The gardens are incredible with lots of water features - typical of the Moors. Inside there were beautiful displays of Mosaics. That night it rained so we never saw...More

Beautifully laid out gardens, with wonderful pools & streams running through them. However they were in transition, being replanted when we saw them, so not at their best. Drinking fountains are dotted around the gardens but no cafe, and there are quite steep steps everywhere...More

Beautifully laid out gardens, but not a lot to see inside the buildings, apart from some mosaics. The view from the tower is worth the short climb up. Another tower is closed off. The best of the roses were over, and another year we will...More

Beautiful but definitely not suitable for pushchairs despite what the staff say!! We went on a sunny day and it was lovely.

Alcazar has beautiful gardens to watch. The entry ticket is around 5 euros. Gardens are okay to watch. In Cordoba if you have one night you can see Mezquita, Alcazar and several other places. Make sure you book a hotel near to the centre.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Do I need to buy a ticket if all I want to see is the night light show in the fountains? Is it crowded? How far in advance of the show do I need to be there so that I don't have other visitors blocking my view. Can I buy a ticket on the day i want to go to the show or should I buy it ahead of time?

My understanding is that the light show is on hold for several months pending repairs and other restorative works. We went in September and the show wasn't running.

Do they have the Sound and Light show at the Alcazar in October?
