I really loved this museum. The guy at the ticket counter told me it would take around half an hour, but I could easily spend an hour there. The exhibition guides you through the history and daily life of the Jews living in Cordoba, but also educates about judaism in general, their customs and beliefs. There are many pieces on... More

Dear friend, thank you very much for visiting us and for your positive valoration. We are really glad you had spent such a long time, we do really appreciate when our visitors take time enough to make a calm visit. It is a pity indeed it is not possible to show any jewish remain from Cordoba, beyond the XIVth Century... More

I found it somewhat disappointing and not a place that provided me with a great deal of information about the life of the Jews in Cordoba. Make a better use of your time.

Dear friend, thank you for visiting us. We are sorry you did not find the Museum interesting, as most of our visitors do. It is true that, although we have a gallery on Cordoba's jewish quarter and another on Maimonides/RaMbaM, born in Cordoba, the Musem it is not focused in Cordoba jews alone, but in the general memory of judaism... If you are unfamiliar with Jewish traditions you will find this museum very informative. However, if you are knowledgeable about Jewish traditions you might find the museum disappointing. It appeared to me almost all of artifacts were not from Andalusia but North Africa. I was hoping for more from the Cordoba and surrounding areas. Maybe they do not exist as... More

Dear friend, thank you for your visit and review. You are partially right, not a single jewish object in our museum is made in Andalusia before 1492 (And we don't claim they are). There is a very good reason for it. Almost nothing has survived after the expulsion and the Inquisition persecution. Not only in Cordoba or Andalusia, in the... More

Must see if you want to learn how was the Jewish leaving in Andalusia. There are no audio guides but you can have a kind of written guide of their history, cuisine, clothes, etc

Dear friend, thank you very much for your visit and review. We, in Casa de Sefarad, bet for a slow, more thoughtful aproach to memory. In a world living too fast we want Casa de Sefarad to be a calm place. Kind regards, Esther Sánchez More

Explains a lot about the difficult life of the Jews in this part of the world. The Spanish Inquisition did an effective but horrible job...

Dear friend, Thank you very much for your visit and positive review. We work every day to recover the forgotten memory of this part of spanish and jewish cultures and history and how it was almost completely destroyed through centuries of hate and persecution. Kind regards, Esther Sánchez More

The visit to this small "museum" was short and somewhat disappointing. Personally I was interested in gaining knowledge on the subject of inquisition and the expelling of the Muslim and Jewish populations but that part of the exhibit had only Spanish text.

Dear friend, First of all, we will like to thank your visit to our museum. Secondly, maybe there was some kind of misunderstanding because we provide every English-speaking visitor with a two-pages document with the English translation for the Inquisition room. If you are interested in that document, please, write us to casadesefarad@hotmail.com and we will be very pleased of... More

Although we knew very little about Sephardic Jews, we were entertained (we were lucky enough to visit just before the singer started), and informed by this interesting little museum). The curators were helpful and happy to answer our questions.

We found this place almost by accident after we had visited the Synagogue. As a Jew, I found it gave me a fascinating look at medieval Jewish life in Cordoba, and my husband (not Jewish) found it equally captivating. We saw many items and pictures that gave us a good idea of the lives of Sefardic Jews of the period.... More

I regularly visit sites and museums of Jewish interest in my travels, and my recent tour of Andalusia was no exception. Out of the 4 museums I visited, this was the only one I can really recommend. Cordoba, of course, has an advantage over other towns in the region in terms of Jewish history. Not only does it have the... More

This is a nice Museum of Jewish history in Cordoba with emphasis on the RAMBAM. I enjoyed it a lot. It ua compact and efficient and right across from the old synagogue and very close to the statue of the Rambam so if you're in the area go.
