This cost three Euros and can be done in less than half an hour. Guitar enthusiasts may find it interesting as Torres was responsible for the shape of the modern guitar. it is nicely presented, but not a must see attraction.

2017 was the bi-centennial of Almeria's native son guitar maker, Antonio de Torres. His careful design and crafting improved the acoustics of the instrument. The museum tells the history and development of guitar and guitar-like instruments from Egypt to modern rock usage. Interactive options with...More

If it's to hot or raining outside then go in for a break, otherwise give it a miss. It,s not like any museum i've been in. Save your money and buy a coffee instead.

Came here with my four children whilst docked in port in Almeria, mainly as my eldest is studying a degree in music and the guitar is one of his instruments. Was a little pricey for what it was and to be honest was not a...More

The museam is really nice and not so big. The entrance is 3 euros/person. It was interesting! You have also an area where you can play some chords on the guitar.

Cheap entry. Was interesting to learn about something different. You get the chance to have a little play on a couple guitars too. Even if guitars aren't your thing, the displays are very beautiful.

One can walk through this museum in less than 10 minutes. Really not worth it. Take in another site unless you are desperate. Quite disappointing.

I noted some critical reviews here complaining that this museum was only suitable for specialists. You don't have to be a guitar maker or player to enjoy it but why would you visit if you had no interest in the guitar? I thought the exhibits...More

This museum is next to the cathedral. We were not charged admission, possibly because there was a party of schoolchildren looking round - being Spanish, they were very well-behaved. There are some truly weird guitars and lutes in glass cases. Check out my photo of...More

A small museum that is defiantly worth a visit if you have an interest in guitars and how they are made. Lots of exhibits of older instruments and explanations of how they are made. It was free entry and also had an area where you...More
