A a pleasant place to walk in the centre of one of the city's main thoroughfares. Shared in summer, and doted with statues and monuments. Walking away from the sea, there is a very gentle climb.

Paseo de Almeria runs diagonally from Puerta de Purchena to the sea, it is the main shopping and commercial area and has lots of pavement cafes.

Pleasantly cool under the trees, with a vibrant buzz of people having a coffee, an ice-cream or looking in the shoe and clothes shops. Don't miss it.

Lovely place to walk & people watch - it has plenty of shops, bars & cafes to enjoy although we were very surprised at how quiet it was at around 10pm on our return walk!

Our early evening walk along the Paseo de Almeria started near the water and we strolled uphill. Fountains, shopping, restaurants, cafes and gelaterias. Great photo ops and people watching.

It is a nice place to take a short walk. It is an imitation of la rambla in Barcelona, but only an imitation, the trees don't give enough shade so during summer it is really hot to walk there, no benches , no cafes around,...More

This street is lined by shops and tucked away in many shaded corners are tapas bars aplenty. Just walk the street in the early evening, stopping here and there for a drink and the house tapas (included in the price of the drink) and soak...More
