Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Neural center of the old town. Built after the reconquest in 1485. Although the orange trees make it charming, it is a shame that there are so many bars, terraces, shops,... You can't even get to the fountain in the central square to have a drink. photo.

Surrounded by Orange Trees, restaurants and bars plus the statute in the middle of the square. Really worth a visit!

I've been travelling around Spain for a week: Madrid, Malaga, Cadiz, Seville, and Marbella. Marbella is my favorite so far. The shops that were still open had sales and discounts. The food and wine were fantastic. The beaches were abandoned and the water was cold, but the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

I have previously reviewed the Old Quarter in Marbella and it is fantastic. This is a good starting point but it is but one tiny part of the whole. Firstly, the restaurants are over-priced, even by Marbella standards. Secondly, it gets very overcrowded and horrendously hot. Certainly, it is a must as a place to go but don't think that it is all there is to see. Worthy of a visit but don't stay too long.

Having visited numerous plazas across Spain, Plaza de Loz Naranjos is a unique beauty due to the beautiful surroundings and the numerous orange trees in the plaza. There are many restaurants around the square and you can even sit in the middle of the square to dine or even have coffee. There is a Churros con chocolate stand at one corner of the square leading towards the main road. They serve fresh squeezed juices there as well. This is a must see attraction if you are in Marbella.

There are many beautiful squares on mainland Europe, Place Vendome in Paris being one. It is always a pleasure to go there and one of its highlights is the magnificent column erected by Napoleon to celebrate the victory of Austerlitz. La Grand Place in Brussels is breathtakingly beautiful at night and it contains a remarkable body of private and public buildings dating mainly from the late 17th century. Plaza Mayor in the centre of Madrid is a splendid arcaded square, not unlike the Place des Voges in Paris and this dates back to the Hapsburg period. On a lesser scale but equally impressive is the Plaza de los Naranjos (Orange Square) in the casco antiguo (old town) Marbella. It is a picture postcard perfect site and is the historic centre of Marbella for over a thousand years. To get a real feel for the town stroll around slowly and take in all the views but do not have your morning coffee there. Do as the local do and head up one of the many narrow streets and find a less touristy spot for your drink. I normally amble down to cafe de Ronda on Calle Ramon Gomez a must stop for snacks and refreshments. They consistently serve good food, great coffee and it has a lively, authentic local atmosphere.

Amazing to visit at any time but New Year’s Eve is a must. The atmosphere and spirit of the people is excellent. Great for families and most enjoyable.

Lovely little square with plenty of restaurants. Very traditional with a church in one corner dating back 400 years. Lots of little lanes leading off with plenty of pretty little shops. A must visit if in the area.

Lovely part of the old town although it get a little busy and on the pricey side. Side streets off it are more reasonable as far as cost goes

On a monday eve, we came through this plaza around 5.30 pm, and the sunset just started. The colours of all the flowers on the Ayuntamiento were beautiful.
The plaza has got a relax atmosphere, and there are possibilities of having a drink.
Would recommend going here

I'm trying to remember the name of a big tapas bar with lots of outside space on a terrace just round the corner from orange square? Can anyone help or recommended me another one!
