Had a great time exploring this church and there's even a Biergarten with sausages and beer right next to it!

Erfurt market place at the Domplatz has a buzz like no other with local traders competing to tempt the tastebuds.... beers and lagers are a plenty.... and the odd tented musical talent to entertain.... with the Cathedral in the background it’s well worth the visit.......More

The cathedral is built on top of a hill above a large market square. It is airy and light inside, has a famous organ and to hear a concert there is very special indeed.

This huge church is located on top of the only hill in town and right next door is an even larger cathedral so between the two it is well worth visiting both.

We were not able to go inside the Dom when we visited, but such a magnificent building set alongside the Cathedral at the stop of the square. Beautiful buildings with fantastic architecture that really complement each other.

This dominant building is well worth a visit. The interior is in turns bright and glorious and dark and somber. There are beautiful elements, and you can find a moment of peace.

I think you should have been there, just to know how it is, but I don't like churches that much. The dom is more impressive with it's stained glass windows and the font. I also thought the two statues of women that are attached to...More
