The actual memorial is ok and gives information about the fraternity movement and how it influenced German history. However, it makes it also worth visiting for the view to the Wartburg Castle.

Was at the wartburg castle and decided to see this little monument. Late in the day around 5 and it was not crowded at all. Great views off the country side. But not a great deal to do here.

Even if this place is not in the city centre and you need to spend some minutes by walking there, surely it's good to visit it. Except historical value of this place, you can enjoy amazing view to Eisenach area and Wartburg castle

The monument has been build in 1902 and offers great views towards Eisenach and the Wartburg. In addition you can hike up there and of course also around in the forests with is spectacular during fall. The site is important for the Burschenschaft (student fraternity)...More
