The ferry port that services Helsinki is well organised. The port is very busy with many ferries arriving and departing all the time.

For those constantly in love with the sea and sea-spirit Travemünde can be a nice option for a day trip. A bit overcrowded in late spring and summer, but that is understandable, as it offers a nice promenade, a lot of small cafes and shops...More

Unless you enjoy boat tours (for example, to Lubeck), there is nothing special with the town itself.

Clean, wide coastline, suitable for walkers, dog owners ( October- March), nature lovers and ornithologists. Also many shops and restaurants, catering for all tastes.

I would recommend to get a reservation, as many restaurants will probably have a special arrangements for a New Years Eve.
We will be arriving on the cruise ship Holland America to Travemunde in August. How far is the town of Lubeck from Travemunde harbour? Is it a walkable distance like 15 minutes or is it best to take local transportation? Train, tram or bus? What are some of the must see sites in Lubeck? Thank you for helping me to make plans for our day in Lubeck.
