On a sunny afternoon, this boat trip was a very nice way to do the interesting and picturesque watery circuit around Lubeck in an hour. We had researched carefully to find a company that offered English narration. Quandt has an English audio app you can download. We were assured a week or so ahead of time by email that headphones... Great thing to do in Lubeck and is not depending on the weather, though I can highly recommend to do it when it is nice and sunny. The tour on the "Amazonas of the North" (this is what the locals are calling it) is calm and not as windy as expected. The river is quite narrow and it is a... More

We took this tour as part of a bus and boat tour around old town Lubeck. Although the commentary was in German, we felt it might be interesting. As we cruised the river, the Germans on the cruise were served drinks! Our table, four Americans were ignored by the Frau who was serving! She never even made eye contact! We... More

When I became tired of city walking and sightseeing, I went on Wakenitz Tour. It is a cruise along Wakenitz river. Starting point is at Moltkestrasse bridge. It lasts about two hour ending at Rothenhusen on Ratzeburger lake. You sail through wild nature and on boat you have all comfort (a guide, a restaurant, seats inside or on deck/terrace). At Rothenhusen... More

We tool this cruise on the river and in the harbor of Lubeck, Germany. I have been on similar cruises in Amsterdam and in Copenhagen and obviously, there is more to see in these larger cities. But Lubeck did not disappoint. What I especially liked about this trip here was the diversity of the sights you will see from the... More

After a truly 1-A bus tour of the old part of town, we couldn’t resist seeing Lübeck from the water. Unfortunately a longer ride to Travemünde wasn’t available so we had to settle for a trip around much of the island on which Lübeck’s old town is situated. The charming captain peppered his talk with many a humorous anecdote, we... More

This was a one-hour nice and relaxing tour. Staff was friendly. Only language is German, though. Commentary could be more enthusiastic, but that is a matter of taste and you could say it represents the north-Germany style. The sights are not spectacular, but the tour is a nice supplement to seeing the city from the inside. Would go again.

This is going to sound hard but............That is an hour of my life I will never get back! The commentary is only in German and to be honest I am glad, The driver spent an hour finding something to say about Lubeck and struggled to show us anything that was worth the 12 Euro we paid each for this trip.... The tour takes approx. an hour and starts and ends close to Holstentor. The commentary on the boat is only in German, though, so if you don't master the language you won't benefit much from this. There is a small bar on the boat, where you can purchase drinks. Our boat was very nice. Older but well-kept, and with open... More
