Willy Brandt was an exceptional man, and this museum certainly deserves to be on your list of things to do when in Luebeck. It's best to take 2 hours for the exhibits and then go to the museum cafe a few doors down the street to let it all sink in while enjoying a lovely cup of coffee and a... More

Don’t miss this when you’re in Lübeck. Willi Brandt, born in this city, was a towering figure and this museum illustrates his life and work in a most interesting way.

I very much enjoyed visiting this charming art and history museum in a lovely historic house. The period rooms, always a favorite of mine, were both pretty and interesting as well. Also, I recommend the cafe next to the museum. I had a terrific salad and slice of cake for lunch - delicious!

I think this place may be fascinating even for those not interested in politics. The museum offers a view of a man in turbulent times, and this makes the exhibition so special.

Willy Brandt was Chancellor of Germany all the time I was growing up so was a familiar name to me. He was born in Lubeck Germany and the suffering he saw all around as a result of the great Depression that he witnessed as a boy, drove him into the resistance movement during WW2 and then into politics as he... This museum is a must visit if you are interested in history or politics. I learnt a great deal about the early life of Willy Brandt, that I was not aware of. English captions and English audio guide available. Strongly recommended.

This little museum shows all documented facts around one of Germany's famous politicians. The very dedicated staff can answer any question. It's worth a visit.

We spent a long time in the Willy-Brandt-House learning how important a part he played in Germany's post war history. A great man!
