Very little space in this remarkable submarine from WW2. Spend some time to feel how the conditions were for the german personel. I recommend to read the book by Lothar-Günther Buchheim or see the movie by wolfgang Petersen, before visiting this submarine.

It was a real experience to get in a real submarine. You really understand after that the conditions there. Also there was quite nicely information about it and generally about the german submarines.

The U-Boot 995 is well worth the trip from Kiel. I went by bus to Laboe from the stop outside the railway station. It takes about 30 minutes and the each-way fare is only €3. A 5-minute walk along the beach brings you to the...More

This WW2 U-boat is quite interesting. One can spend as much time as one likes visiting. The crowd was low when I visited. The vessel shows how difficult submariners lived and worked in close quarters. Only one head for the crew, very limited food preparation...More

If you're a submarine s madman, this can be seen. Personally, I would have seen after 6 minutes, maybe you should not bring the smallest hit and if you suffer from narrow spaces you should not enter

Open hours depend on the season, in winter only until 4pm. Plenty of information inside the boot, but only in German. Tickets for adults are €4,50 - totally worth it.

I've lost count of the number of times I've watched Das Boot, so I'm clearly an enthusiast. And for enthusiasts, U-995 is awesome. The combination ticket for the U-995 and the Naval Memorial next door was about 10 euros. (Cash only at the ticket booth...More
