The tour of the porcelain manufacturing facility that put Meissen on the map is well worth while. The demonstration gives a good sense of all that goes into the lovely creations.

Very nice. Make sure you spend whole day as after tour demo and a lovely lunch there make sure to visit the castle. The town has many lovely shops to explore

Try S-Bahn Direction: Meißen Triebischtal. It'll take about 35 min. Trains run every half hour. Half day is not much but it's better than nothing. Hope this helps. Elena
