Were recommended by our hotel to go to the Medieval market just a few yards down from them. There were many stalls on two levels. Everyone wore medieval clothing and most stalls manufactured items as was done back then. So, there were blacksmiths making iron candle holders, candle makers, wax seals, felt bags, hats, gloves and shoes, and also lots... More

We could have walked through here to get to the royal residence. When we went they had stars hung up.

A long gallery entered via metal gates with a renovated statue against the wall. The area has been well reconstructed and is worth 10 minutes of your time. It certainly is on the guided tour route as we followed a group in there to see what they were going to look at. I didn't really know the provenance of what... More

A well restored place. Inner yard of the royal stables with a lot of royal coat of arms painted on the arcade walls. The former washing basin for the horses is still there. Once medieval games were held in this yard. This place was entirely demolished during WW2 because of air bombardments. Free entrance, near the Royal Palace and worth... More

These stables are lovely. It is great to see the restoration has been done so meticulously. Look out for the horse ramp and horse bath.

By accident, okay we got lost, we ended up at the Stallhof which immediately reminded me of the grey Wedgewood china -- a beautiful passageway which one should seek out.

Most people are so fascinated by the Fürstenzug that they don’t go through the door (just before the beginning of the procession) which leads into the royal stable yard. Big mistake if you don’t! A long archway decorated with Sgraffito awaits you there.

You can see this by doing a quick detour as you walk through the arch of the royal palace whilst enjoying the local construction sites. It's quite disappointing really.
