Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are no cars on this bridge, only trams, so it's a pleasant walk there. From the bridge there is a beautiful view of the old town and on its other end (in the New Town) there is the statue of the Golden Rider. There are also stone benches where you can sit, relax and enjoy the panorama of Dresden.

The Augustus Bridge is one of many bridges that connect the north bank with the Old Town of Dresden. But it's probably the only one with perfect views of all of the old town, not to mention the great views over the River Elbe. From afar, the bridge looks magnificent by day and beautifully lit up at night. Close up, it's not so nice because of renovation work that cover virtually all of the bridge.

Old bridge is one of the best attractions in Dresden. It contributes well to the reconstruction of the city.

I can never get tired of standing on this bridge and look across at the magnificent city of Dresden. Dresden is one of my favorite cities from the Old East Germany and i love coming back time after time

This wonderful arched sandstone bridge provides a great backdrop for photos of both sides of the Elbe River. It is also good for a short walk across the river with more photo ops. There are a number of interesting things to see and do in New Town.

The oldest bridge over river Elbe, formerly made of wood and then made of stone arches.
We crossed the bridge while going from the older part of the town to the newer part, where the golden statue graces the cross roads. Also, at night, to be able to take photographs of the old city skyline.
There is a walk beneath the bridge and you can find your way to the old Dresden vaults there as well as the terrace where in the evenings, music plays.

While staying in the neu start part of town we cross this bridge regularly while heading into the old town. It is a great spot to take panoramic pictures of the city and to get the lay of the land so to say.

Excellent for taking non-tourist photos of the various beautiful cityscapes. There are several places at either end from which you can compose breathtaking shots.
