This is an old bridge of the 14th century, but for its time was it was a new concept in bridge construction. He's stocky, with low footings. During its history it has survived a lot – it was blew up (including by the Germans themselves – when they were retreat-ing during the second world war, and after, when engineers arranged... More

A 14th century bridge, the oldest preserved bridge in Koblenz, although it has had several part rebuilds since then. It connects Koblenz old town with Lutzel across the River Moselle.

It is a bridge. I have to agree with others. It's a nice bridge, but nothing special. There are some cool old bridges in Germany. This just isn't one of them.

I rode across this bridge over the Moselle river on my bike (I had made the whole trip from Bonn, ~50 miles, by bike), and I had to ride across this bridge just because I had to ride across this bridge! It also adds a lot to the view from afar, from atop the Fortress Ehrenbreitstein.

It is apparently one if not the oldest bridge that takes you over the Mosel It is a fantastic piece of engineering considering that it was built ages ago but it kind of disappears compared to the rest of the many historic things in Koblenz

This is the first bridge you will pass under as you leave the Rhine to go down the Moselle. It was built in the 14th century and in my opinion is nothing special. There is a nice wide path underneath on the Koblenz side where you can cycle and get a close up look at its workmanship.

The brigde was built over the river Mosel in the early middleages and connects the old city of Koblenz with the newer parts North of the centre. In fact, that's it. Although you can have a nice view on the centre from the bridge and have a look at the 'Deutsches Eck' from another angle.

It was nice to see the oldest bridge in Koblenz but in all honesty, there are much more spectacular and interesting bridges around Germany.
