Pretty Cool

I liked the architecture of this little plaza. It was really cool to see, but a little difficult to find. But worth a visit.

Visited here on our Viking River Cruise. These old towns and their buildings are amazing. Such a history lesson traveling thru Europe. There are days words cannot be found.

In my opinion there is not a lot of differences between German Town Halls. This one is no exception. Nothing special, nothing remarkable!

unassuming town hall to the point you would hardly know it was the rathaus of a major city. probably doesn't help that the place was ruined by ww2 allied bombing, necessary or not. Both times I have visited I have admired the autumn leaves patterning the modern cobble pavers in the exterior courtyard and the exquisite shingle shaping on the... More

Although it is of a historical value, I think as a building there are many town halls in Germany that would surpass this one. It took me some time to find it and was not impressed with the architecture.

We walked all around and enjoyed looking at the outside of so many buildings that the feel of Koblenz was what I wanted to experience from a small German town. We truly wished we had more time in Koblenz. Of all the towns we visited on our 18 day european excursion Koblenz was one of our favorites and certainly our... More

The Grand Chamber of the Council Chamber has a rich history. Originally the former great Hall of the Jesuit College was twice as long (37 m) and the largest and most prestigious room in Koblenz, where also school theatre was held. Purchased by the city in 1891, conversion of the City Hall into a gymnasium in 1894. Since 1913 is... More
