Enjoy a cable car trip up to this huge fortress and enjoy views across the Rhine/Moselle and Deutches Eck. Lots of things to see inside with audio tours available showing you the history of the fortress and more. Well worth a visit.

This fortress goes way back in time and has a very interesting history. Well restored and a lot to see, both outside as inside. We enjoyed it very much.

Lovely cable car ride up to the fortress. Well worth a visit while you are in Koblenz. Just a shame that none of the displays were in English.

The fortress itself is pretty boring but the talk with the gun smith was interesting. It is though worth going up to enjoy the best views on Koblenz and its surroundings.

At 118 metres above the Rhine the fortress, the second largest preserved fortress in Europe, has fantastic views over Koblenz and the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers.

The fortress offers a nice view during a sunny day. It is worthwhile looking from the opposite side of Mousel river. This fortress has a big history to offer.

Part of a package holiday. The cable car and guide were included. If you are interested in fortifications it is a great place to spend a couple of hours. If you are not the views are good for half an hour.

Reached by cable car (see other review), funicular, or car, the former Prussian fortress designed as one of four protecting Koblenz and the confluence of Rhine and Moselle is worth seeing when there are other cultural events on. When nothing else is on, it's a...More

The fortress is open from 9am - 7pm. You can get a combined Cable Car and fortress ticket at the Deutsches Eck which costs 13.80 euros for an adult, 6.20 euros for a child and 12.50 euros for a concession.

Yes - bought it at the cable car ticket office near the German corner. Entry to the fortress and the cable car.
