Good destination for a MTB trip or a hike from kaiserslautern. It is a good example of a local castle. There is a good restaurant serving traditional German food on bottom of the hill on which the castle is built.

If you want a cheap look at an old castle then Hohenecken is the place to go. Let your imagination run wild and picture what it looked like in the days of old. Relax and enjoy.

Worthy of the effort to go there. Easy access although a steep walk. Can dirve there but the gate needs to be open.

This is a great ruin castle, with a view over Einsiedlerhof and Vogelweh Germany. The walk up is strenuous at best, bring good walking shoes and a walking cane if available.
