Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Its not fair to call the Bergstrasse( Castle Road) a single attraction. I think its too big to soak up all in one day. Unless that it is you are just taking the slow road from here to there, and just want to take an oportunity to soak up the regions beauty without stopping anywhere and take the scenic route. I have done this too. But the region is worth taking some time to explore. This is a good option road rather than the highway from Darmstadt to Weinheim. This beautiful road snakes along the Rhine flood plane on one side and the Odenwald hills to the otherside. It boasts some of Germany's finest countryside. Beautifully manicured vinyards, and castles perched high up on the hillside over looking the Rhine Valley where it has widened contrast with woodframed structures. We spent the dwindling summer days of the last weeks of August exploring this region. All of the castles we visited have spectacular views from above. Take your time to find the road ways to the top. All are very well marked and many have car parks at the bottom of the hill if you want to climb up. Schloss Auerbach one of my favorites has a restaurant/cafe get a full meal, or have a beer, ice cream. The little towns below have nice restaurants, beer gardens, farmers markets, flower shops, backeries. You will love this region of Germany.Travelers will not be disappointed. Make your memories stick. Slow down and enjoy the view!
