The way the land and the many industrial buildings that have been preserved are currently being used is exceptionally diverse: climbing enthusiasts can abseil through the high ropes course in the old casthouse or climb in the former ore deposit bunker. Visitors can enjoy water...More

This re-purposed space was an excellent place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Lots of area to wander around, incredible use of land that was once an industrial centre. Many varieties of activities can be done here, we chose to climb the stairs of the old...More

A really neat place to explore and hike. It is a cool way to use the otherwise useless industrial complex. And it's free, so go and explore.

What a great find this place is, amazing views from the top if you can stomach the clime. All for free we would have spent more time her but the rain came in. Worth a visit if you have time.

Site covers a large area- hire a bike to make the most of it. Interesting place not much else to do around Duisburg

Spent a few hours looking around this place on a Sunday in Germany, easy to find and easy (and free) to access. If you don't mind the steps you'll get some amazing views and the scale of the engineering is jaw dropping.

This old factory has been converted to a park instead of being destroyed. It's amazing to walk among the it and climb on some plateforms. You also have to see at night where all is illuminated with different colored lights.

This was an eye opener. The size of the place was staggering. A huge steel works which after closing down has been transformed into an informative and interesting place to visit. So much to see.
