Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I understand that this is a famous landmark in the city and if top end fashion stores are your thing, then this is the place for you. Spend half an hour or so wandering along the boulevard (window) shopping. There are also a couple of covered shopping arcades on the way. The canal lined with chestnut trees actually looks its best as the sun sets, and the lights turn on.

I do go to the Kö regularly, but it is of course completely overrated compared to the really upscale streets in Paris, London or many other world metropolises.
What is particularly annoying are the constant construction sites and the wannabe boys who show off their "great" cars, which is rather embarrassing.
There is a lot of room for improvement in terms of gastronomy, because there isn't really much.
If you don't visit the Kö when you visit Düsseldorf, you aren't really missing out on anything!

The Königsallee is a beautiful stately avenue with a kind of park in the middle and some water. Expensive stores such as Gucci and Dior are located on both sides. And now there is a Christmas market in one part, including a large skating rink. Worth the effort.

This avenue had the reputation of one of the beautiful boulevards in Europe. A landscaped canal at the center of two lanes with beautiful rows of trees on both sides of the canal, this 1 km long boulevard has all major luxury brand shops around it. We saw lots of swan swimming in the canal. We visited this beautiful street on 31st March 2023. Unfortunately, in winter time, the trees didn't have any foliage, thus losing much of its charms. But in spite of this, it was a beautiful street to stroll on.

I lived 2 minutes' walk from the park or the Køningsalle promenade.
I didn't fall head over heels for it because it was autumn and flowers and colors were a bit dull and gray and sad.
The canal through divides in two and on the right hand side there were many exclusive shops which are not of my interest. In retrospect, I realize that I walked either in the middle or on the right side. Didn't check out the left side as seen from where I was staying.
According to a website, the most densely built-up street with luxury shops in the world.

Wide street almost like a pedestrian zone with shops and cafes. High-end shops though... Very nice street for a stroll inclusive of a park with benches and plants 🌹
Don’t see many beggars nor homeless people. It seems like a safe area I recommend you come see if in Düsseldorf 👍🏼

In the middle of Düsseldorf there is this long street (about a kilometre) with the most exclusive shopping malls. Good place to spot expensive cars. It is also a green area with old trees, water and a park with ponds.
I especially liked the latter.

The Kö is a flash part of town with so many high end stores (I didnt feel worthy). Fear not though as there are plenty of high street stores nearby too for those on a budget. Great for a little wander.

The canal was nice in the morning, quiet and very few people - but by afternoon on a Saturday, it becomes something else... A mass of people going crazy for designer stores. I got out of there.

It's nice to walk along this Allé with many shops and restaurants alongside. But I wish there are more bench to sit down and relax along the waterside.

Hi, I'm planning to visit dusseldorf in the first week of February.
What are the opening hours of Konigsallee on Sundays ?
Written 10 January 2017
Shops are closed on Sundays, except Restaurants. Even some of Restaurants are open ONLY in Sunday Evening. In a good sunny weather on Sundays you can roam around the lake with your family and friends and have quality time........but unfortunately no shopping :-(
