So we decided to pop in as we had bought the Düsseldorf card and this museum was free. Thank god we did! Beautiful collection of ceramics, some many thousands of years old... and right up to the present day. Really interesting range in the collection...More

There are not too many museums dedicated to porcelain in Germany, but this museum is worth visiting. Of course, if you've been to Limoges, France, the porcelain museum there is absolutely the best, but this museum does an excellent job of presenting different German porcelain...More

A visit to this museum can really be recommended, even if you are not really interested in ceramics. This may change once you see the wonderful objects being displayed on three levels. The building is larger than you might think when you see it from...More

Unexpectedly wonderful, Russian, Chinese, Islamic and European ceramics. Sadly my visit was towards the end of the day and I really had to run through the collections. I'd say the Russian and Islamic ones facing the street are the most impressive.

This was by far one of the best museums. I felt there display case numbers could be integrated better. A bit shoddy in basement areas. Those areas which had displays and the Chinese exhibition 20th Century Ceramics were excellent. Nice gift shop and pleasant staff....More

Visit this place for a review of old time ceramics, time required to have a good look is about 2 hrs. Also a place for people interested in antiques.
