An interesting building to view from the outside, along with the square itself and the rider statue - not sure why all 3 need to be listed separately. The Rathaus looks good at night and is a pretty backdrop for the little chalet buildings of...More

This is something the Germans do very well. For lovers of history and architecture the Rathaus must be included in your tour.

This is a nice building in the old town. This is a nice place to look around before you end up in one of the pubs along the river!

Worth a visit to see this historical building in the center of Marktplatz along with the statue in front of it.

Not sure if you can go inside. Still pretty nice building. The marktplatz is also pretty awesome as well. Quite close to the entertainment quarter and found myself wandering through here a couple of times.

Located in Dusseldorf's Old Town this picturesque building with many architectural details. It architectural style reminded me a little bit of buildings I've seen in Denmark. A statue called the Rider sits in front of the building. Worth a look if you're in the area.

Interesting architecture and the fact that it is called the "Rathaus" which is quite amusing - as it is the government central office or City Hall. Very interesting place.

We weren't so long to see it. Those who interest at architecture perhaps will take much time to stop and see the details ...

One large statue in the middle of the marketplace area, nice architectural details in buildings surrounding it.

This is the new town hall. It was built between 1954 and 1957 on the remains of the Roman Practorium which is the seat of the imperial governor. Opposite is the old town hall rebuilt in 1964.
