Love Kathe Kollwitz’s artwork so was excited to visit this gallery. A large collection of her work is on display, mainly drawing and printmaking with some sculpture. Ask for the English copy of the exhibition text as this is a must read about the historical...More

I've always loved Käthe Kollwitz artworks, so the museum was a must-do for me while being in Cologne. I was astonished by the size of the collection - at first, seeing the hidden elevator I expected a way smaller museum. However, the exhibition space is...More

I've always been a Kathe Kollwitz fan, and enjoyed my visit to this little gem. Although the collection is rather small, you won't be inundated by crowds making it a much more enjoyable experience. It's a modern bright clean space more representative of a gallery,...More

If you are already familiar with this artist, you know how moving her work is. A first-rate collection which is sort of hidden inside a mall (look for the banners outside the building on the Neumarkt) - take the elevator inside.

It took us awhile to actually find this museum, even with the address and we finally had to stop and ask. It's in a small shopping mall (including a Steiff bear store, dress shops and food outlets on the ground floor). The museum is on...More

I had encounter a little of her work in Berlin some years ago. This may be one of my favorite museums in the word. It is bleak stuff but also very uplifting. I was in tears very quickly but pulled myself together soon enough. Maybe...More

The museum is situated on top of a small shopping mall, and the light here is great and gives the drawings and the art an extra dimension. It is a small exhibition but a great experience. The fee is about 5 euros, so it is...More
